Fix BlueMail push notifications on ASUS

Published

Menu names differ between software versions. If a path here does not match your phone, search your Settings app for the setting named in bold — it is the same setting under a different label.

ASUS ships a Mobile Manager app that maintains its own list of apps allowed to start on their own. Android’s battery settings do not override it, so both need setting.

Allow auto-start

Open Mobile Manager → Auto-start manager (on some builds, Settings → Battery → Auto-start manager) and allow BlueMail.

Without this, BlueMail does not come back after a reboot or after the system closes it to free memory.

Set BlueMail to unrestricted

Settings → Apps → BlueMail → Battery → Unrestricted, or on older ZenUI builds Settings → Battery → Battery optimisation → All apps → BlueMail → Don’t optimise.

Check PowerMaster

If your phone has the PowerMaster screen, look for a battery mode or a “clean up in suspend” option — the more aggressive modes close background apps regardless of the two settings above.

If mail still arrives late

  • Lock BlueMail in Recents.
  • Check Settings → Notifications → App notifications → BlueMail.
