How to take a screenshot on a Google Pixel
Published
Menu names differ between software versions. If a path here does not match your phone, search your Settings app for the setting named in bold — it is the same setting under a different label.
Pixels give you three ways to capture the screen, and one of them works without pressing anything.
Buttons
Press Power and Volume Down together.
From Recents
Swipe up and hold to open Recents, then tap Screenshot under the app card. This captures the app as it was, which is handy when the thing you want to show disappears as soon as you touch the screen.
Quick Tap
Tap the back of the phone twice.
Set it up first: Settings → System → Gestures → Quick Tap → Take screenshot.
A whole page, not just the screen
If the app supports it, tap Capture more in the toolbar that appears after the screenshot, then drag the crop handles down the page.
Where it goes
Google Photos, under Library → Screenshots.
